As IndiGo flight 6E-2131, which was headed for Bengaluru, was taxiing, emergency was reported due to a possible engine fire.An aircraft carrying passengers on flight 6E-2131 (Delhi-Bangalore) encountered a technical problem as it was rolling out of the gate. Later, the Bengaluru-bound A320 with its 184 passengers returned to the harbour. The sources reported that everyone was safely deboarded.
The incident happened at about 10:00 p.m. IndiGo said in a statement that an engine stall occurred during the takeoff roll of the aircraft transporting passengers on flight 6E2131 from Delhi to Bengaluru.

According to Delhi police officials, the CISF control room called the airport control room to report a fire in the IndiGo plane's engine. Seven staff members and 177 passengers were on board.

The pilot of a SpiceJet aircraft, which was in the line-up behind the IndiGo aircraft, reportedly informed the air traffic controller about the engine fire while the aircraft was taxiing.
