At Emirates Engineering in Dubai, your duties as an aircraft technician will include performing maintenance on Emirates and third-party aircraft parts in compliance with corporate policies and guidelines. In the relevant trade/cross trade disciplines for which they have received training, the Aircraft Technician collaborates with a team under the supervision and direction of the designated Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
In this position, you'll:
Maintain regular aircraft, engine, and component service and maintenance, as well as authorized structural repairs, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, while adhering to all safety protocols for fluid replacement, aircraft refueling, and necessary aircraft system charging and servicing.
Follow your immediate supervisor's instructions for replacing any components and doing other maintenance tasks. This will involve being able to access and comprehend the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), or other authorized material needed to complete the task.
Help Licensed Aircraft Engineers with troubleshooting, fault correction, and modification while also carrying out task card instructions.
Take part in and encourage the development of a safety culture to reduce accidents and draw attention to any shortcomings or failures that may cause them.
Make certain that every workspace is kept spotless and upholds superior cleanliness. This involves being conscious of and disclosing safety flaws. Be vigilant in making sure that toolboxes are routinely inspected, maintained, and kept clean, and that work areas (including the ramp), cars, stands, and lockers are free of FOD.
It is your responsibility to stay informed about airport safety rules, including obtaining and keeping an airport driving permit. must be completely aware of and abide by the regulations governing airport maneuvering areas.
Be in charge of performance management by closely collaborating with the supervisor on performance management procedures and utilizing the MyBC system to reach consensus on development plans that include training and development needs.
Assure timely completion of all assigned duties in order to maximize ground time and prevent operational delays or disturbances. This include getting the Licensed Aircraft Engineer's (LAE) status brief for the aircraft or component, arranging work appropriately, and receiving reports. Notify the LAE of any aircraft, component, or structural flaws as soon as possible, and make sure that pertinent information is shared during shift handovers.
Utilize your up-to-date knowledge and expertise in aircraft maintenance as needed to support resource allocation through RMS/RTC.
Eligibility
You must fulfill the following criteria in order to be considered for the position:
Five or more years of engineering graduate school (12+2)
An engineering aviation maintenance license, an apprenticeship in aircraft maintenance, or comparable training with a respectable airline or an authorized aircraft maintenance organization
